The Past Masters series is a glimpse into our unique brewing history, using our archive of knowledge to revive long-lost beers for today’s connoisseurs. This toasted, chocolate recipe was chosen to celebrate the 90th Birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth II. It was brewed at the time of her birth in 1926 and was selected by our brewers and Gerry O’Brien, manager of our world-famous London pub, The Churchill Arms. This is an unmistakably British porter brewed for the quintessential British icon. As a bottle-conditioned beer it contains sediment that allows the flavours to develop up until the moment the bottle is opened. This beer should be stored upright in a dark room and poured carefully when served.
