Boatrocker & Goose Island October Beer 500ml
For our interpretation, we brewed a single hop single malt base beer and aged it in Starward Whisky barrels for about 4 months. The beer is deep golden colour, with delicious malt, whisky and dried stone fruit notes on the aroma. The palate is full with rich caramel malts, a delicate touch of classic East Kent Goldings hop character and the barrels give lovely plum and wine tannic notes with hints of vanilla and marshmallow. It’s come out at a big, yet easily hidden 9.4%. Dangerously drinkable, but a satisfying complexity. Don’t drink chilled! If there’s a haze, it’s too cold … remember this is an English style ale, so cellar temp (~12˚C) is the way to go.
