Château de Laubade was built in 1870 in the heart of the noblest area of the AOC Bas Armagnac and is today the premier Armagnac property. Today, the third generation is actively involved in the quest of excellence of the property, composed of 105 hectares of single vineyard, to make Château de Laubade an undisputed reference among the Armagnac category.
Elegant, mature and wonderfully complex, Château de Laubade Vintage 1984 is a beautiful expression of aged Bas-Armagnac, offering the richness and depth that only decades of careful maturation can provide.
The nose is deeply aromatic, revealing dried apricot, prune, orange peel, vanilla, walnut and polished oak, with subtle hints of leather and spice developing in the glass. The palate is rich and silky, layered with fig, raisin, caramel, dark chocolate and toasted nuts, balanced by delicate spice and a gentle freshness. The finish is long, warming and remarkably persistent, leaving lingering flavours of dried fruit, vanilla, oak and baking spice.
A beautifully mature Armagnac with exceptional depth and elegance. Rich without being heavy, complex without being overpowering — a superb vintage to savour slowly and appreciate for its age and craftsmanship.
