Killara Distillery Tawny Cask Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Killara Distillery’s single malt whisky embodies the essence of Tasmanian artistry — a seamless blend of tradition, meticulous craft, and bold character. Led by second-generation distiller Kristy Lark-Booth, Killara honours the pioneering spirit of her parents, who helped shape the landscape of modern Australian whisky. Each single malt is handcrafted in small batches and aged in 100-litre oak casks, often repurposed from premium wine barrels such as Shiraz or tawny port. Every release is limited, individually numbered, and crafted with collectors in mind. This particular expression – matured in an ex-Tawny cask – is bottled at a commanding 47% ABV and aged for approximately five years. It delivers a deep, rich profile with layers of bold fruit and warming spice. With only 38 bottles released at cask strength, it’s a rare and powerful showcase of Killara’s signature style.
