Brewed since 1525

Lezajsk (pron. Le zanch) is a Polish Pale Lager belonging to Groupa Zywiec. It is one of Poland's oldest beers having been granted permission from King Sigmund I the Old (I have an ancestral relative who worked for this king.) in 1525 to brew beer. Poured, it makes a frothy head, is golden, and has a strong hoppy nose. Unlike Warka, Zywiec, and Namyslow with its slightly sweet aftertaste, this one is bold and finishes with a peppery bitterness. A wonderfully refreshing piwo (pron. pee-vo) for any season. Included is a picture of Browar Lezajsk in the town of Lezajsk, anbout a 40 to 60 minute drive up from Lublin known for its brand Perla.
